Feminist Anti-War Resistance

Now it’s more important than ever to make sure people know their rights in the midst of mobilisation. A FAR activist came up with a witty way to spread this vital information via popular dating apps.

To create a profile picture, she took a photo of herself without a face and also used a neural network to generate an image of a non-existent girl. She’s also added the following text to the description:

“I’m looking for a guy who won’t be mobilised. You could be the one if you follow these rules:

  • Don’t touch the summons for military duty, don’t open the door to strangers, and do your best not to be available by the address you’ve registered at
  • Remember that the summon for military duty is only valid if it is signed in person
  • There’s no criminal liability for not showing up at the military draft commission office after receiving an official summons, just an administrative fine from 500 to 3000 rubles
  • You are only liable for criminal offences after you’ve arrived at the military registration and enlistment office, passed the medical examination, and been issued an order.”

Bear in mind that services such as Tinder, Mamba, and Badu can ban users for “political” content, but a certain number of people will still see your message before this happens.
