Priama Diia

The problem of corruption does not lie with a few ‘bad’ officials, but with the system itself

Published on July 23, 2025

Parasitic MPs are preventing the people from living

Priama Diia, along with the rest of the population who are not indifferent, joined the large-scale protests in Kyiv and Lviv: the Verkhovna Rada adopted Bill No. 12414, which definitively transforms the anti-corruption bodies into a docile instrument of power. The NABU and SAPO are now subject to the prosecutor general, a person appointed and controlled by the political class.

This is not a measure of efficiency. It is about ensuring that cases against big thieves are not brought to court.

While the majority of the population survives on poverty wages, some are rewriting the laws to suit themselves in order to get rid of troublesome investigators, close cases against corrupt officials, and treat prosecutors as their personal subordinates. This is looting of the people by those in power.

We are facing blatant tyranny of power, an attempt to strengthen the authoritarian vertical in times of war. The problem of corruption does not lie with a few “bad” officials, but with the system itself. It cannot be solved by new reforms from above. Corruption can only be curbed when institutions are transparent, horizontal, and controlled by the people, not by a handful of powerful individuals.

Let's not allow those in power to trap us!
